Returns Management Service Leader: goTRG Wins 2021 Green Supply Chain Award from Supply & Demand Chain Executive

goTRG Wins 2021 Green Supply Chain Award from Supply & Demand Chain Executive

Reverse Logistics Leader goTRG Honored for Leveraging Technology to Help Retailers and Manufacturers Eliminate Unsustainable Returns and Reduce Unnecessary Waste

MIAMI — Dec. 17, 2021goTRG, the leading provider of returns management solutions for six out of the top ten retailers, has received a 2021 Green Supply Chain Award for leveraging intelligent software to eliminate unsustainable returns for retailers and manufacturers. The 2021 awards were announced by Supply & Demand Chain Executive, which recognizes companies that prioritize sustainability to be a core part of its supply chain strategy.

The mission of goTRG is to streamline reverse logistics to eliminate unsustainable returns and unnecessary waste to contribute to a more sustainable planet. goTRG utilizes intelligent software to determine a returned product’s most economical path. goTRG measures sustainability achievements by its waste reductions, emission reductions, and corporate social responsibility. In 2020, goTRG prevented 15,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere and over 20 million pounds of product from entering landfills.

“We’re honored to receive the 2021 Green Supply Chain Award and are excited to continue our mission and advocacy for more sustainable reverse logistics and, most importantly, a sustainable future,” said Sender Shamiss, CEO of goTRG.

goTRG provides innovative applications to achieve its zero-waste policy goal, like its Returns Automated Disposition Application (RAD), to help retail and return center staff determine the most sustainable decision when routing or processing returns. On a handheld device, employees can scan a returned product and the RAD app makes dynamic disposition decisions based on UPC data and algorithms to determine the most economical path from refurbishment to donation.

“There are several industry experts and market research reports that have found sustainability remains a top priority regardless of the pandemic, shortages, and natural disasters. Whether it’s a new solution, a new program, or just simply a new way of doing business, these winners showcased heightened attention to social responsibility and environmental governance,” says Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Food Logistics. “Regardless of the challenges, the supply chain industry faces, a sustainable supply chain continues to win in the end.”
